What’s the truth behind Berry clan clashing with Fua’a militias?

Social media news pages, news websites and TV channels shared lately news of fierce clashes between Fua’a militias and Berry Clan militia in Aleppo city.

The news said clashes caused casualties and injuries of both sides and that Berry clan took control of several neighborhoods in Aleppo city, news also said Fua’a militias brought reinforcement to Aleppo city and the reason behind the clashes is that because Berry clan tried to kick out Kefrayaa and Fua’a militias outside Aleppo city.

Verify-Sy contacted in the past few days several sources inside Aleppo city and especially the eastern neighborhoods such as al-Saliheen, Bab al-Nayrab, al-Shaar, al-Sakhour and al-Maysar which are under Berry clan control, all sources said that the situation in these neighborhoods is normal and no armed clashes happen lately.

In the same context, a source in Youth Housing neighborhood told Verify-Sy that a minor problem happened between one of the Berry clan fighters and a fighter from Fua’a militia last week, according to the source the fighter from Berry clan was dismissed from serving in regime militia in Latakia and when he came back to his house in al-Ma’asaranye in Aleppo city he was surprised to see a family of Fua’a militiaman took his house.

The source added that a group of Assad regime army mediated between both sides and gave the Fua’a fighter another house in the same building and the Berry clan fighter was arrested by Air Forces Intelligence.

Another source told Verify-Sy that Fua’a militias who left their town in July were given good houses in al-Marje and al-Nayrab neighborhoods in Aleppo city which angered Berry clan and caused clashes but was stopped after Russian Police intervened and the Fua’a militias were given houses in al-Ballora area and near al-Somoud stadium after leaving the houses in Berry clan areas.

Worth to mention that a deal between Russia, Turkey, Iran and Assad regime with Hayyet Tahrir al-Sham resulted in evacuation around 7 thousands residents of Fua’a and Kefraya towns and release fighters and civilians in exchange for releasing 1500 detainees from Assad regime prisons.
