Social media news pages and personal accounts shared a video showing men dancing inside a room and claimed this video was taken during the opening of the Saudi-Israeli Friendship Association in Saudi capital Riyadh.

In the video, some men are wearing traditional Jewish clothes while others are wearing the traditional Gulf thawb. However, there is no indication of the place or the time when the video was taken.

Verify-Sy searched for the source of this video and it turns out it is from the celebration of Jewish holiday Hanukah in Bahrain in 2016 where Bahraini and Jewish American businessmen participated in it according to the BBC.

The Bahraini king Hamad bin Eissa Al-Khalifa hosted a special festival in his palace to celebrate Hanukkah holiday in 2015 with the presence of Jewish representatives and a group of European Jewish rabbis.

In November 2017, former Israeli Minister of Energy Yuval Steinitz said that Israel has covert contacts with a number of Islamic and Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia despite the fact that both countries don’t have official diplomatic ties.

Hanukkah is an official Jewish holiday which means “dedication” in the 25th of Kislev month in the Jewish calendar (in December). The holiday represent, according to the Jewish religion, commemorating the rededication of the Temple in 165 BC in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire.
