Al-Aan TV have reported that Russian airstrikes have targeted a base of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Idlib’s countryside, adding that there were reports on killing two commanders of HTS by the air raid. The news report included a video that shows the moment when the building was bombed; the video does not have any indications that the building was used for military purposes.
Verify-Sy platform reporter in Idlib’s countryside denied that the bombing have targeted a building of HTS, explaining that the airstrike has targeted a farm in the outskirts of the Taftanaz Military Airbase; Ahmad Mohammad Haj Kaddour and his wife Nour al-Huda Ebrahim al-Sha’ar, who lived in the building, were killed by the air raid, and three of their children were injured.
Following the airstrike, Verify-Sy platform obtained special videos of the building from the inside and the outside that clarify that it is a residential unit that was not used for military purposes. Besides, we obtained a video recorded in July 23, taken by media activist Ammar Sutaif, which shows that the attacked place is a farm that contains solar panels used in extracting water.
