Social media news pages and personal accounts shared a photo of the grave of Syrian kid “Hamza al-Khateeb” who was killed under torture by Assad regime in 2011, the photo shows the grave damaged.

The publishers accused Assad regime forces of destroying the tombstone of who considered an icon of the Syrian revolution, while others accused “regime’s frogs” in reference to ex-opposition fighters who joined regime forces.

Verify-Sy sources in Daraa denied that the damage of the tombstone is new and said this damage happened in 2013 two years after his death when a bomb hit the cemetery and damaged the tombstone.

Verify-SY attach a photo showing the damage in the tombstone matches the photo being used lately and it was published on a news website in 8 February 2014.

Verify-Sy also attach a video published on YouTube on 23 February 2013 showing the damage in the tombstone and the speaker saying the cemetery was bombed in 21/2/2013.
